Book This Trip

The descent into Abu Talha begins in turquoise and ends in shadow. You follow the reef wall past hard corals so densely packed they look sculpted, their colours sharpening as your eyes adjust. At 25 metres the sinkhole opens beneath you, a dark mouth in the reef floor, and your light catches the walls of the passage ahead.

  • Two Full Days at Abu TalhaAbu Talha requires high tide, calm conditions, and a jeep to reach — the restricted access keeps the corals in remarkable condition. We give it two full days.
  • Walking Through a WWII Time CapsuleNorton motorcycles standing upright after 80 years. Bedford trucks with bikes still loaded. The Thistlegorm is an underwater museum frozen on October 6, 1941.
  • The Blue Hole Arch on TrimixA 26m tunnel at 52–55m through the reef wall into infinite blue. On trimix with proper deco planning, this is one of diving's most transcendent moments.
  • Canyon Systems Most Divers Never AccessAbu Talha's inner canyon is a labyrinth of overhead passages connecting to Abu Helal. Sidemount and CCR territory — two days means time for real exploration.
  • Dolphins on Your Check DiveSpinner dolphins in a sheltered lagoon — one of the Red Sea's best spots for encounters. Barracuda and rays on the outer reef. A check dive that outshines most trips' headline dives.

Sha'ab El Erg (Dolphin House)

Sha'ab El Erg (Dolphin House)

8–30m

A horseshoe-shaped reef between Hurghada and El Gouna, home to a resident pod of spinner dolphins. Morning dives offer frequent encounters in the sheltered inner lagoon. The outer reef drops off to 30m with barracuda, tuna, and blue-spotted rays. Visibility regularly exceeds 40m. The ideal check dive — and potentially the best check dive in the Red Sea.

Abu Talha Canyon

Abu Talha Canyon

5–50m+

A site 17 minutes north of Dahab by jeep, accessible only at high tide in calm conditions — the restricted access keeps the corals in remarkable condition. The outer coral garden (5–20m) is an amphitheatre of extraordinary colour. The inner canyon system is technical: a sinkhole at 25m leading to the crack — extremely narrow at 30m with limited exit points — hard coral walls dropping to 50m+, and overhead passages connecting to Abu Helal. The deeper passages are sidemount-only. Excellent for sidemount, CCR, and overhead environment training.

Dahab Blue Hole

Dahab Blue Hole

5–100m+

A submarine sinkhole over 100m deep, one of the world's most iconic dive sites. The recreational route enters through 'the Bells' — a crack in the reef where tanks clang like church bells — emerging at 28m on the wall before crossing the Saddle at 7m into the hole. The Arch at 52–55m is the technical route: a 26m-long tunnel exiting to the open Red Sea. On trimix with proper planning, it is one of diving's defining experiences.

Dahab Canyon

Dahab Canyon

14–54m

A tectonic fissure with three openings. The Fish Bowl at 14m is a coral dome creating an enclosed aquarium of glassfish and lionfish. The main canyon at 22m is framed by walls where sunlight creates extraordinary effects. Technical divers can follow the fissure to the deep exit at 52–54m, emerging into open blue water. Good buoyancy control is essential throughout.

SS Thistlegorm

SS Thistlegorm

15–30m

One of the world's most famous wreck dives. A British WWII cargo steamer sunk in 1941, resting at 30 metres with trucks, motorcycles, and rifles still in the holds. Massive schooling fish, barracudas, turtles, and Napoleon wrasse. Advanced recommended due to depth and occasional currents. Wreck Specialty and Nitrox ideal for this dive.

Sites depend on weather, currents, and conditions. Our crew optimises in real-time for the best diving.

FAQ

M/Y Celesta carries oxygen kits, a first-aid station, EPIRBs, SOLAS life rafts, fire suppression systems, and satellite communication. Dual main engines for redundancy. Yes. We offer PADI/SDI/TDI specialties including Advanced Open Water, Enriched Air Nitrox, Wreck Diver, and Deep Diver. Courses are integrated into the dive schedule so you learn on real sites, not in a pool. Course fees are additional to the trip price. Let us know in advance so we can prepare materials.

Airport transfers, 7 nights full-board, all meals and non-alcoholic beverages, up to 4 guided dives per day, professional dive guides, 12L aluminium cylinder, weights and belt, Nitrox, and Wi-Fi near land. Not included: flights, visa, environmental taxes, equipment rental, alcohol, gratuities, insurance, and dive courses. See each expedition for specific inclusions.

Fly into Hurghada International Airport (HRG). We arrange transfers from the airport to the marina — about 20 minutes. Boarding opens at 13:00 on Day 1. On the final day, we return to the marina in the morning with transfers to the airport. Full logistics and meeting points are sent before departure.

Bring your own mask, dive computer, SMB, and exposure suit (3mm or 5mm depending on the season). Rental BCDs and regulators are available but we recommend bringing your own. Topside: sun protection, light layers for the evenings, and a good book for surface intervals.
