Everything you need to know about diving the Red Sea with Celesta Liveaboards.
Booking & Pricing
Celesta Liveaboards expeditions range from €1,290 to €1,600 per person for 7 nights. Prices are per person in a shared cabin and include all meals, up to 4 guided dives per day, Nitrox, marine park fees, and airport transfers from Hurghada. Send us a message on WhatsApp or email with your preferred dates and any questions. We will confirm availability, walk you through cabin options, and send a booking form with a deposit invoice. No automated booking system — you deal with a real person from start to finish. We typically respond within a few hours during Egyptian business hours (9 AM – 9 PM EET).
All expeditions include: 7 nights accommodation in your chosen cabin, all meals and snacks prepared by our onboard chef, up to 4 guided dives per day, Nitrox for all divers, marine park fees, airport transfers from Hurghada, and towels and bed linen. Not included: dive equipment rental, alcoholic beverages, crew gratuities, dive insurance (mandatory), and personal expenses.
We understand plans change. Our cancellation policy has three tiers: more than 6 months before departure — deposit forfeited, balance refunded; 3 to 6 months — deposit forfeited, balance credited toward a future trip (no expiry); less than 3 months — all payments forfeited. The deposit is non-refundable in all cases. See our Terms & Conditions for full details.
We accept bank transfers and major payment methods. All prices are quoted in EUR with no hidden fees. A deposit is required to secure your spot, with the balance due before departure. Exact amounts and timelines depend on the trip — we spell everything out clearly before you commit.
Diving
It depends on the expedition. Some trips are open to Open Water divers with 30+ logged dives, while others require Advanced Open Water or technical certifications. Each expedition page lists exact requirements including minimum certification level and logged dives. If you are unsure, ask us — we will be honest about whether a trip suits your level.
Yes. Celesta offers full technical diving support: Nitrox, Trimix blending capability, and CCR-friendly operations with Sofnolime available. The dive deck has a dedicated tech diving zone with space for stage bottles, sidemount rigs, and twinsets. An experienced professional technical diver is aboard every expedition.
We run expeditions covering the best Red Sea dive sites: Brothers Islands, Daedalus Reef, Elphinstone, Tiran, the Northern Wrecks (Thistlegorm, Rosalie Moller, Dunraven), Dahab, and the Deep South. Each expedition page details the specific dive sites on that route. Some of these sites are only accessible by liveaboard.
Yes. We require all divers to carry valid dive insurance that covers hyperbaric treatment. This is non-negotiable — it protects you and everyone on the boat. If you do not have a policy, we can point you to providers like DAN or Divers Alert Network.
The Red Sea offers year-round diving with water temperatures between 22–30°C. Peak hammerhead shark season runs March to May at Brothers and Daedalus. Oceanic whitetip encounters are most common October to December at Elphinstone and Brothers. Summer (June–September) brings the warmest water and calmest conditions. Winter months offer excellent visibility.
The Vessel
M/Y Celesta is a 40-metre premium safari liveaboard built in 2026 with a hand-built wood hull reinforced with light steel. Four decks, dual main engines, two speedboats (each with dual engines), 12 guest cabins accommodating 24 guests, and a dedicated crew of 12. Designed from the keel up for Red Sea diving expeditions with full technical diving support.
Three cabin categories across two guest decks: Main Deck Cabins (4 cabins, porthole windows), High Deck Cabins (6 cabins, sea-view windows), and Suites (2 cabins, panoramic windows with additional living space). Every cabin has two single beds convertible to a double with mattress topper, private en-suite bathroom with hot water, and individual air conditioning.
Safety is our foundation, not a feature. M/Y Celesta is a 2026 new build with: dual main engines for propulsion redundancy, two speedboats with dual engines each, SOLAS-rated life rafts with EPIRB, hardwired fire detection on all four decks, satellite communication, emergency oxygen with demand and free flow delivery, two AEDs, and DAN first aid equipment. We run mandatory safety briefings and emergency drills before every departure. The same certified crew of 12 sails every expedition.
24 guests maximum across 12 cabins. We chose this capacity deliberately: large enough for a social atmosphere, small enough that everyone gets personal attention from the crew. With 12 crew members, that is a 1:2 crew-to-guest ratio — among the best in the Red Sea.
Charters & Groups
Absolutely. We offer full-boat charters for dive clubs, photography groups, training agencies, corporate teams, and private groups. A charter gives you full boat exclusivity — no shared spaces, no compromise on the itinerary. Choose one of our six routes or work with us to design a custom itinerary. Contact us with your preferred dates, group size, and diving goals to start the conversation.
Yes. We handle group bookings regularly — dive clubs, friend groups, training agencies. We can arrange shared invoicing, cabin allocation, and coordinate your group within a scheduled expedition. For full-boat exclusivity with a custom itinerary, see our charter options.
